Windracers prepares for African medical missions following Paris Air Show spotlight

Windracers has featured in Aerospace Global News following its appearance at the 2025 Paris International Air Show with Aviation Sans Frontière

At the event, Windracers ULTRA™, the world’s most accomplished long-range, heavy-lift autonomous cargo aircraft, was on display highlighting its role in Aviation Sans Frontières’ mission to transform medical logistics and deliver vital supplies to remote regions across Africa.

With a useful load of up to 150kg and a range of up to 1,000km, the multi-mission autonomous aircraft, Windracers ULTRA MK2, combines proven rugged aircraft technology with integrated proprietary autopilot systems and mission control software.

Set to begin its operation in October 2025, Windracers ULTRA™ MK2 will be deployed in the Democratic Republic of Congo for a proof of concept to deliver medical supplies.

Stewart Wallace, Head of Safety and Regulation at Windracers, said: “By integrating local training, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability, the Aviation Sans Frontières–Windracers partnership aims to create a replicable model for humanitarian drone logistics across Africa. This innovation offers a path toward more efficient, greener, and more equitable aid delivery.”

The aircraft showcased in Paris is the same model set to operate from Windracers’ new operational hub in Malawi
