Windraces ULTRA

Windracers ULTRA is a multi-mission system – one aircraft can be adjusted in minutes to deliver, drop or detect depending on mission requirements. Customers like the UK MOD use ULTRA platforms for aerial intelligence (detect) and troop resupply by parachute (drop). A North American university will use ULTRA for all three use cases.

Do you have questions about Windracers or ULTRA?

Deliver

Point-to-point transport of mail, parcels and cargo.

Middle-mile mail, parcel and cargo delivery to remote destinations is expensive and complicated with a reliance on specialist logistics partners, airlines or passenger ferries. All of these are more expensive and slower than delivery by Windracers ULTRA

This has been proven by:

Groundbreaking work with the NHS in 2020

Royal Mail in 2021

Trials in Southern England and Scotland in 2022

The Orkney Islands in 2023 and 2024

The Shetlands in 2025 (planned)

Windracers ULTRA can take off and land from small airfields in tough wind and weather conditions suited to serving remote locations with regular mail, parcel and cargo delivery.

Drop

Critical aid delivered safely by parachute without the need to land.

Poor infrastructure, difficult weather and environmental conditions, and security concerns make the transport of critical aid for humanitarian or emergency assistance inefficient, especially in times of crisis. Large jets, helicopters and even smaller crewed aircraft, although effective, incur significant expense while risking the safety of pilots. Using the triple drop door configuration, parachutes and autonomous flight, Windracers ULTRA provide a more efficient and cost-effective approach to emergency assistance to deliver maximum benefit to the people who need it the most and take pilots out of harm’s way.
ULTRA is used to parachute:

Supplies for troops in Ukraine

Everyday necessities for families cut off by snow and ice in Alaska

Medical aid and vaccines for people in remote villages in Central Africa

ULTRA drop doors are also used for emergency – or “blue light” – services for dropping fire suppressants on nascent wildfires.

Detect

Autonomous aerial survey using sensory equipment chosen by your organisation.

An aerial survey by UAV helps organisations gain knowledge, be aware of on-ground circumstances over a wide in real-time, and, in some instances, protect humans and property. Windracers ULTRA is uniquely suited to take aerial surveys to the next level. Not only can it carry a significant amount of sensory equipment that you define, but ULTRA has a nominal endurance of 10 hours. Fewer take-offs and landings, longer survey periods, and lower operation costs are enabled by ULTRA’s long endurance and heavy-lift capability.
Windracers ULTRA detection capability has been proven:

In 25 missions in the Antarctic for the British Antarctic Survey, surveying wildlife and geology.

In Ukraine, for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.

In missions for NORCE who will operate 2 ULTRAs from their TRONE Antarctic Research Station.

The Orkney Islands in 2023 and 2024

In SWARM trial for infrared AI detection of nascent wildfires.

Windracers integrates your chosen equipment as part of the delivery of ULTRA for your mission.
