AUTOPILOT
Windracers Autopilot
Windracers Autopilot uses a masterless, distributed flight-control architecture, with flight-critical functions across independent nodes that sense aircraft state and manage actuations, ensuring fault tolerance. It composes GNSS, inertial, magnetometer, airspeed, and visual data for accurate navigation, even in contested environments.
Flight-critical software – navigation, avionics, an communications – is physically isolated from payload and other non-critical functions. Windracers Autopilot utilises a proprietary networked architecture that allows Windracers to seamlessly add resources that aid the completion of flight missions.
Autonomy for the Future of Aviation
What is autonomy in aviation? Today a pilot no longer needs to be in a cockpit to safely deliver a mission. Learn about Windracers’ outlook on how autonomy changes aviation today and moving forward.
Distributed avionics
Windracers is pushing the boundaries with the goal to provide the world’s most reliable distributed flight control system, Windracers Autopilot. Windracers engineers work to create reliable and cost-effective systems which have no single point of failure so that customers can rely on Windracers ULTRA to deliver their mission.
- Distributes core functions across modules.
- Removes single-point failures entirely.
- Keeps mission logic active if a component drops.
- Runs operator-built missions as designed.
- Executes autopilot routing without manual input.
- Adjusts instantly to mid-flight updates.
- Processes live data as events happen.
- Delivers clear, time-accurate insights.
- Flags change without slowing the mission.
- Autopilot exectues the mission planned created in Windracers Mission Control.
- Aligns tasks with real-time routing.
- Applies deterministic rules to every action.
